Anyone else need some last-minute Christmas goodies? 🙋♀️
This Christmas “crack” is as easy as it gets, and you likely have most (if not all) of the ingredients in your pantry already.
I’m not sure who coined this stuff “Christmas crack,” but it’s definitely addictive! It’s a toffee-like treat with milk chocolate, a brown sugar layer, and saltine crackers for a perfect balance of sweet and savory. I added M&Ms on top for looks, but you can use sprinkles, more chocolate, or nothing at all. You don’t really need any toppings unless you’re going for the extra festive look.
All you need are a few basics:
- Saltine crackers
- Brown sugar
- Milk chocolate chips
You can also sub graham crackers for a sweeter version of this recipe.
Spread the crackers in a jelly roll pan, melt some caramel on the stove, pour it over the crackers and bake for a few minutes, top with a chocolate layer, and you’re done!
I often end up making more than one batch of this over the Christmas season because it tends to disappear pretty fast. :)
Hope this helps make your Christmas baking a bit easier this year! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
