Cake Batter Puppy Chow

It’s my half-birthday today!

Yep, it’s a pretty big deal. :)

I didn’t have time to whip up a batch of cupcakes on this fine Monday morning, but I figured that sprinkle-spotted puppy chow that tastes like cake was a pretty acceptable substitute.

No one complained.

I wanted there to be actual cake mix in this recipe, not just flavored extracts or oils.

Pumpkin Spice Puppy Chow

I think I’ve already made it pretty clear that I’m a puppy chow fanatic, so let’s keep this simple:

Three ingredients. Five minutes. Fall flavors.

That’s all it there is to it! As a matter of fact, this recipe is even easier than the original.

Sure, you can complicate things by using a different kind of Chex, adding spices, substituting whatever chocolate you happen to have on hand…but really, simpler is better in this case.
