My name is Brianna, and I’m a sugarholic.
I was born with a sweet tooth, and I was the child who believed a slice of pie made a perfectly acceptable breakfast. I’m pretty sure heaven will involve excessive amounts of buttercream.
Any health expert, however, would assert that one cannot survive in this life on sweets alone. I may have a propensity toward dessert, but I also want to take care of my body and stay healthy.
So I get sweet smart!
I love baking and enjoying the treats I make, but I’m a strategic sugarholic. I keep track of the nutritional stats on every recipe, and I do my best to make up for my sometimes over-the-top desserts with healthier foods that are just as (okay, just about as) crave-worthy. You’ll find nutritional information underneath most recipes I post, whether calorie-laden or figure-friendly, so that you can be smart about your sweets, too!
I have a journalism degree and a photography background…and I’m a grad school dropout who decided an MBA was a great dream, just not mine. I create and test recipes for sweetness in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and I shoot with a Canon 5D.
I love cupcakes, summer, and Minnesota. Puppy chow has been my favorite food since kindergarten. I’m a stereotypical firstborn. I once lived in Florida, mostly because of a magical little place centered around a mouse. I’ve sampled every cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory.
